RePowerSiC recently participated in a unique webinar organized by the EIC under its WP23 In-Space Solar Energy Harvesting portfolio. 

This notable event, facilitated by EIC Space Programme Manager Stella Tkatchova, was specifically designed to provide European projects within the EIC portfolio, such as RePowerSiC, with the valuable opportunity to meet and engage with Professor John Mankins, a globally renowned expert in Space Solar Power (SSP). 

Prof. Mankins is widely acknowledged as the world's leading authority on SSP. During the webinar, he delivered an engaging lecture covering key areas relevant to RePowerSiC’s objectives, including a detailed overview of SSP concepts, a discussion of related challenges and opportunities, and innovative space applications critical for advancing wireless energy technologies. 

In addition, Prof. Mankins presented insightful findings from the recent International Astronautical Congress (IAC) report. This important examination included comprehensive analytical studies and assessments of TRL relevant to various Earth-based technology advancements, directly aligning with RePowerSiC's goals to advance wireless power transmission capabilities. 

RePowerSiC greatly appreciates the EIC for organizing this valuable exchange, which has fostered crucial insights, enhanced collaboration prospects, and reinforced the project's commitment to innovation in wireless power transmission.
