The RepowerSic project is excited to announce its participation in the 7th Optical Wireless and Fiber Power Transmission Conference (OWPT2025), which will take place at PACIFICO Yokohama Japan, Japan, on April 22– 25, 2025 as an online/venue hybrid conference.

This is one of the conferences of the OPTICS & PHOTONICS International Congress 2025 (OPIC2025) and serves as a key platform for sharing and discussing the latest scientific and technical advancements in optical wireless and optical fiber power transmission.

Our project coordinator Antonio Garcia Loureiro will introduce RePowerSiC and its main objective: developing a laser converter based primarily on silicon carbide (SiC) - a semiconductor material known for its high energy efficiency and resistance to extreme conditions. His presentation will be one of the nine invited talks included in the program.

The development of the high-power, high-efficiency laser beam in RePowerSiC promises to revolutionize the concept of remote power supply and we are thrilled to share RePowerSiC's vision and look forward to the valuable insights and discussions that will emerge from this conference.
